Meet Tiffany

Somatic Experiencing Practitioner • Massage Therapist • Cuddle Therapist • Period Coach • Intuitive Healer

I’m Tiffany (she/her), the heart and hands behind Spacious Breath Somatics.

I’m a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, Licensed Massage Therapist, Cuddle Therapist, Period Caoch, intuitive healer, teacher, and fellow human navigating this beautifully messy experience of being alive.

My life has taught me that healing isn’t about becoming someone else.

It’s about having the freedom to be who you really are.

I’m not interested in fixing people. I don’t believe you’re broken.

I’m interested in helping you discover what’s possible when you have the space, support, and freedom to reconnect with yourself.

My work is rooted in a simple belief: You deserve to feel at home in your body and free to be yourself.

And that’s what I love helping others discover.

From Survival to Freedom

The Year Everything Changed

My healing journey hasn’t been simple, linear, or conventional.

For decades, I lived with serious medical conditions, chronic illness, and experiences that profoundly affected my physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

In 2016, I experienced something that changed the course of my life.

Following an experience similar to a near-death experience, my understanding of myself and my life shifted dramatically. I began recognizing how profoundly disconnected I’d become from my authentic self.

That period marked a turning point.

Conditions that had shaped my life for years—including severe food allergies, chemical sensitivities, debilitating eczema, and seizures—resolved.

I also experienced a profound transformation in my mental and emotional well-being. After decades of psychiatric diagnoses and extensive medication, I eventually reached a place where I no longer needed those medications.

I began understanding my spiritual and intuitive experiences in an entirely different way. What had once been interpreted through the lens of psychiatric illness, I came to understand as part of my intuitive and spiritual gifts.

I realized something that changed everything:

I could no longer abandon myself to survive in a world that expected me to be someone I wasn’t.

I chose a different life.

I became an ordained minister, attended massage school, and pursued professional training in Wheel of Consent and Somatic Experiencing.

I began creating a life rooted in authenticity, embodiment, connection, and freedom.

And my healing journey continued.

Why Spacious Breath Somatics?

People sometimes assume that because of my business name, I offer breathwork.

I don’t.

The name Spacious Breath Somatics comes from something much more personal.

For 20 years, I lived with a rare airway disease that made breathing difficult. I underwent 24 surgeries and numerous other medical interventions. There were times I came close to death.

Breathing—something many people rarely have to think about—was a constant struggle.

Then, after two decades of medical treatment and holistic care, I finally had a surgery that cured my airway disease.

For the first time in 20 years, I could breathe with ease.

The physical change was immediate.

The relief was extraordinary.

Suddenly, there was space in my breath. Space in my body. Space for possibilities that had felt out of reach for so long.

But something else became clear.

Although my airway had healed, my nervous system had spent 20 years adapting to danger.

My body was still learning what it meant to live without that threat.

And that learning continues.

This is something I understand deeply about trauma: the danger can end long before our bodies recognize that it’s over.

Our nervous systems are designed to respond to danger. Fear, activation, shutdown, anger, and other states aren’t inherently wrong. They’re part of being human, and they can be essential for survival.

The difficulty comes when we lose the flexibility to move between states, even after circumstances have changed.

Healing isn’t about remaining peaceful all the time. It’s about developing the capacity to experience the full range of being human without becoming perpetually trapped in survival.

We can experience grief and gratitude. Frustration and compassion. Uncertainty and trust. Sometimes simultaneously.

We can feel at home in ourselves, even when life is messy.

For me, Spacious Breath Somatics represents the profound experience of realizing:

I survived. The danger has passed. And now I get to live.

Not simply endure.

Not merely survive.

Live.

That is the spaciousness I want to help others discover in their own bodies and lives.

Spirituality, Intuition, and Finding Your Own Way

Spirituality and intuition are inseparable from who I am.

My spiritual journey has included profound transformation, questioning deeply held beliefs, leaving a controlling religious environment, and discovering a relationship with spirituality that feels authentic to me.

I identify as psychic and intuitive. These gifts are part of how I experience the world, connect with others, and approach healing.

I’m also an ordained minister.

Some clients seek me out specifically for intuitive or energy healing. Others come for bodywork, trauma support, or help navigating difficult life transitions.

I particularly enjoy supporting people who are experiencing spiritual awakenings, faith crises, religious trauma, or significant changes in their beliefs and identities.

I understand how disorienting—and sometimes liberating—it can be to question everything you’ve been taught about yourself and the world.

My spirituality informs my work, but it is never something I impose on others.

Intuitive and energy healing may be incorporated when invited and consented to. Some sessions focus entirely on these experiences. Others don’t involve them at all.

I respect your beliefs, your boundaries, your autonomy, and your right to decide what feels meaningful for you.

You don’t need to share my spiritual worldview to work with me.

And you never need to abandon yourself to belong.

My Approach: As Unique as You Are

I don’t believe healing should follow a rigid formula.

Every person is different. Every nervous system has its own history. Every body carries its own experiences, adaptations, strengths, and wisdom.

And every session is unique.

My work integrates professional training in Somatic Experiencing, therapeutic bodywork, somatic touch, consent-based practices, and intuitive healing.

Sometimes our work is quiet and gentle. Sometimes it’s playful, emotional, exploratory, or deeply transformative.

Sometimes we work with touch. Sometimes with movement, awareness, conversation, or stillness.

And sometimes the most important thing we do is create enough space for you to recognize what you want, what you don’t want, and what feels right for you.

I value honesty, collaboration, and the freedom to say yes, no, maybe, or change your mind.

I don’t approach people as problems to be fixed.

I approach them as whole human beings whose bodies have adapted to the circumstances they’ve lived through.

Your body belongs to you. Your choices matter. Your boundaries deserve respect.

My role is to accompany you with curiosity, compassion, honesty, and respect as you explore what healing means for you.

There is no one-size-fits-all version of freedom.

You don’t need to hide parts of yourself to work with me.

The goal isn’t to become someone else’s idea of healthy, spiritual, successful, or healed.

It’s to become more fully yourself.

You get to be a whole human here.

Comfortable In My Own Skin, Mess and All

I’ve experienced extraordinary suffering.

I’ve also experienced extraordinary joy.

I’ve survived things I once wondered whether I could survive. I’ve lost parts of my life I thought I couldn’t live without. I’ve had to begin again more times than I can count.

And today, I have a life that feels like mine.

I laugh. I cry. I dance. I explore. I love. I grieve. I make mistakes. I change my mind. I try new things. I sometimes fall apart, and I find my way forward again.

I’m still healing. I’m still learning. I’m still human.

My life isn’t perfect.

And I don’t need it to be.

I’ve spent years learning to become more comfortable in my own skin, including the parts of myself I once thought I needed to hide or change.

I don’t need my life to be perfect to love life. And I don’t need to be perfect to love myself.

There’s tremendous freedom in that.

I want to experience everything this life has to offer—not just the beautiful, comfortable parts, but the complicated, uncertain, gloriously messy parts too.

I aspire to be fully alive.

And I hope the way I show up gives others a little more permission to do the same.

Training, Experience, and Professional Background

My personal experiences profoundly inform my work, but they are complemented by years of professional education, hands-on experience, and continued learning.

I have experience supporting people navigating sexual trauma, medical trauma, religious trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions, and questions of identity and belonging.

My work is LGBTQIA+, kink, sex worker, and ethically non-monogamous affirming.

I believe humility, curiosity, compassion, and a willingness to keep learning are essential parts of being a good practitioner.

And above all else, the quality of relationship is more important than any technique.

Meet Ginger, My Four-Legged Assistant

Ginger is my sweet senior poodle mix, constant companion, and an important part of my life and practice.

She accompanies me just about everywhere, and she’s available to join sessions when clients request her presence.

Some clients enjoy having her nearby, offering companionship, affection, or an occasional cuddle. Others prefer their sessions without her, and that’s equally welcome.

Like everything in my practice, Ginger’s participation is guided by choice, consent, and what feels right for you.

She brings a little extra warmth, sweetness, and playfulness into my world, and I’m delighted to share that with clients who want to know her.
